Q. How do I register for a course?
A: You can register on line, by phone or in person at any of our permanent locations. For on line registration, just go to our web site www.taxwide.com, click on school and then on Enrollment Form and follow the instructions.
Q. When do the Tax Courses start?
A: The first in class group for the Tax Course starts in October and the second in January every year. Online Tax Courses are available year round.
Q. How much do the Taxwide courses cost?
A: All taxwide courses are very reasonably priced. Our fees are very competitive and we do offer discounts for multiple course registration. The Basic Tax Course is $199+HST and The Advance Tax Course is $299+HST.
Q. What is included in the course fee besides classroom teaching?
A: Fees includes course material in the form of a textbook and educational software (where applicable). After the successful completion of the course, you will be given a certificate. There is no hidden cost. The fees are tax deductible.
Q. How often do the tax classes meet?
A: There are various groups including Morning, Evening and Weekend. Weekday group have two classes of 3 hours each for two months and Weekend group has one class of 6 hour each for two months. Group timings and dates for all courses are posted on www.taxwide.com
Q. Where are the classes held?
A: Classes are held at various locations. The map of the exact location convenient to you can be seen at our web site www.taxwide.com. Please refer to the Tax School Tab to see the locations for upcoming classes.
Q. Who teaches the class?
A: All course instructors are competent and well experienced professionals, in the chosen field. They have long exposure of teaching in the class.
Q. What if I fail the course?
A: All the courses are scientifically built up for easy assimilation. If you attend the classes regularly, listen to your instructor, participate in learning process actively, and do the given homework. You will have no difficulty in passing the course successfully.
Q. Are there any requirements to join your Courses?
A: There are no entry-level requirements excepting keen will to learn. All the courses are taught in English. For tax courses basic knowledge of English and use of computers is desirable. For accounting courses additionally some knowledge and skill in mathematics would be advantageous.
Q. Can I join a class after the course has already started?
A: We do accommodate late joining students during the first week of the class. After that time we do not advise joining.
Q. How can I be helped, if I am unable to attend a class?
A: Classes are held Days, Weekends, Morning and Evenings. You are welcome to take a makeup session in one of the following classes.
Q. How do your courses compare with courses offered by other institutions?
A: We have been offering these courses for more than a decade. According to the feedback and expression of gratitude received from the past students, we are confident that we are delivering a very useful and satisfying learning process to the public.
Q. I have already attended an income tax course at other College. Would it be useful to take Taxwide Income Tax Course?
A: Definitely, at college or university they teach you tax laws and principles in theory. These courses may not equip you with adequate skills to prepare and file various types of tax returns. At Taxwide you learn how to apply the tax laws to complete and file income tax returns. We provide you with a lot of examples and practical work through the software on the computer.
Q. Are job opportunities available at Taxwide after the completion of the course?
A: After completion of tax courses, we do offer seasonal Jobs to selected students, all interested students are encouraged to fill out an application upon completion of the course.
Q. I am not interested in any job opportunity; do you think I should take these tax courses?
A: This is a very good question. We reply to it as capital Yes! Our tax courses are very comprehensive giving you a basic foundation on how tax system in Canada works. Tax is the largest expense you incur in life even more than the mortgage you pay for buying the house. It is permissible by law to save as much tax as possible by, tax planning, claiming all the deductions and credits, which are available to you. These courses teach you to plan and save taxes.
Q. Whom do I contact for a Job?
A: You will be given a Job application form on the last day of your class. You are expected to fill it up and hand it over to your instructor. You can also submit in person, by mail, or fax your job application at the Head Office of Taxwide.
